StoryOrigin is an all-in-one author marketing platform focused on list-building, promotions, and reader engagement.

Key features (as of 2026) include:
  • Reader magnet / lead magnet delivery (file hosting and automated delivery)
  • Newsletter swaps and group promos (cross-promotions with other authors)
  • ARC (Advance Reader Copy) and beta reader management (distribution, feedback collection, review requests)
  • Universal book links, custom links, and a simple author website builder
  • Integrations with email services (e.g., Flodesk, Mailchimp), direct ebook sales via Lemon Squeezy
  • Promotions calendar, word count/goal tracking, and review tracking​

​The platform has a free Basic plan (limited, e.g., basic file delivery and tracking) and a popular Standard plan at $10/month or $100/year for full access to promo tools, unlimited deliveries, etc.
While StoryOrigin offers wonderful do-it-yourself options, some authors prefer to have a specialist set it up for them.
That's where I come in! I offer three levels of support to get StoryOrigin working for you.
BASIC SETUP - $150 to $300
Account setup, profile optimization, upload 1–2 books/reader magnets, basic file delivery links, 30-minute how-to call
Best for - New authors, small list, budget-conscious

STANDARD - $350 to $600
Everything in Basic + set up newsletter swaps/groups, join/create first promos, ARC distribution workflow, email integrations, custom links, promo calendar setup, training session (45–60 min)
Best for - Most indie authors growing lists via swaps/promos

PREMIUM - $700 to $1500 - COMING SOON!
Everything in Standard + advanced: multiple books/series setup, beta reader feedback system, review team management, segmentation tips, custom Canva graphics for promos, follow-up support (e.g., 30 days), 1–2 strategy calls
Best for - Multi-book authors, 5–6 figure indies wanting full automation

ADD-ONS
  • Extra book/magnet setup: $50 per book
  • Newsletter swap training + first campaign launch: $100
  • ARC/review team optimization: $250
  • Ongoing management (monthly promo monitoring/swaps): $50/hr - see retainer rates on SERVICES page
* As a condition of starting services, the client must maintain a published privacy policy on their website and have full administrative or edit access to it. The client agrees to provide the direct URL to the privacy policy. This access requirement ensures the client can independently review, modify, and publish any recommended updates related to the data processing activities performed under this agreement (e.g., use of StoryOrigin, email marketing tools, etc.).

* Author must also have ePub and PDF versions of their reader magnet and/or manuscripts, book cover, book title and blurb available before starting services.
